Sodium-ion batteries (SiB) are gaining attention as a viable alternative to lithium-ion (LiB) technology. In our upcoming Battery Live Talk, we will take a closer look at recent market developments and what manufacturers should consider when transitioning from LiB to SiB.

Together with guests Montserrat Casas Cabanas (CICenergiGUNE) and Simon Lux (University of Münster), our colleague Sebastian Will will discuss the key challenges and opportunities, from production adjustments to supply chain implications.

What will be discussed?

  • How is the sodium-ion market developing?
  • Where could sodium-ion batteries find their niche?
  • What transformation and spillover effects arise when shifting from LiB to SiB?
