The year 2025 is shaping up to be pivotal for the European battery ecosystem. Europe must position itself amid an intensifying trade conflict between the USA and China. In this first Battery Live Talk of the year, we want to highlight the positive developments that will unlock new opportunities for the European battery industry. In doing so, we will focus on the promising indicators for the development of battery technologies and also look at issues the battery ecosystem needs to prepare for. In short, we want to start into the new year well prepared and with confidence.

For this, moderator Stefan Wolf is looking forward to having Ilka von Dalwigk (RECHARGE) and Fabrice Stassin (BEPA) as guests.

The European battery start-ups overcome production hell. They implement what they have learned and successfully ramp up their first battery factories. They achieve a high yield and produce cells of excellent quality. The supplier industries are developing positively and the EU regulation that is coming into force creates legal clarity and clear market conditions for the industry.

That's the year in review we'd like to read in December 2025.

Join us for this Battery Live Talk, and we'll explore the opportunities the new year holds!

What will be discussed?

  • What will be the key topics for the European battery ecosystem in 2025?
  • Have we already passed the trough of disillusionment and will the industry regain momentum?
  • What regulatory changes should we be aware of?
